I can't believe that after all this time the day is here. Tonight I will meet, in person, Mrs. P of TwiBite and LivingwithEdward and Edward!! I am beyond excited for that. DangrDonna is also tagging along and we are going to have so much fun!
As LivingwithEdward said "I hope we don't get kicked out." LOL!!! Well if we do, we'll find a place to eat and just hang out and talk. I am sure we won't be lacking for things to talk about.
And thank you Tongue Twied for thinking of us :) We love you!

She is one of the sweetest, most thoughtful people I know. The other day I saw an orange card envelope on the mail on our table. I went right to it and saw Lisa's return address on it. I immediately dropped everything, grabbed the letter opener and ripped it open. What did Lisa send me??? In the envelope was the funniest card AND... cut pieces of the New Moon movie!!!! She had received three film roles of New Moon and she kindly went through the one role and cut out the scenes she thought I would like. She knows me too well. She knows I am Team Everyone and the scenes reflect that. I have the party, Carlisle, the cake, the kiss at the truck, the break up, Bella curled up on the forest floor (that one makes my breath stop every time I see it), Jacob at his house, Jacob as a wolf, Laurent, Laurent with Bella and a few other scenes. Mmm mmm mmm very nice and soooooo sweet. I never expected to receive such a lovely gift. Thank you so very much 17foreverlisa!!
So how do I reflect on my gratitude. I have a journal and every night before I go to sleep, I write down five things I am grateful for from my day. Obviously, we can guess that the day I received the cells from 17foreverlisa that she was #1 on the list. Let's see what else was on the list from that day:

3. help from others
4. postal service
5. technology
Sometimes I write very general items and other days I am very specific. I try not to write the same things every day and the best days are those when I have to choose from so many things for my list of five. I am also grateful that I have never had a day when I didn't have five items.
My favorite aspect of this task is that the last thing I am thinking about before I go to sleep are items I am grateful for and that is a wonderful thing. I highly recommend this task, even if you just keep track on a piece of notebook paper. It helps you review your day for all the goodness and over time you see just how many good things there are in your life.
We can start this right now too, in the comments it would be great if you could list at least five things you are grateful for today.

Taking Out the Trash Throwing Out Negative Attitudes
Pigpen was a popular character in the comic strip Peanuts. He always had a cloud of dirt and dust following him wherever he went. On the rare occasion that Pigpen was clean, the moment he stepped outside, he instantly became dirty. He even bragged that he was a dust magnet!
People who constantly carry around bad attitudes remind me of Pigpen. They look as though they are surrounded by toxic clouds of negativity. And like Pigpen's claim that dust was attracted to him, it seems like bad attitudes start clinging to them the moment they get out of bed!
We don't have to be like Pigpen. There is a way to keep negativity from clouding our lives. We simply have to take the trash out! What do I mean by that? We first have to realize how negative, or "trashy," attitudes develop.
Negative attitudes are formed by the way we think. Negative thoughts lead to negative beliefs which create negative lifestyles. So it's important that we pay attention to the thoughts we dwell on.
When someone criticizes our work, or when a television newscaster reports on a downturn in the economy, or when we get cut off in traffic, we can't allow these things to bother us. If we dwell on the negative things that were said or done, we will start accumulating piles of trash.
Whenever negative thoughts cross our minds, we must first throw them in the trash! In other words, we have to make ourselves not to think about them.
You might be thinking that's easier said than done. It's not that hard when we begin thinking on good things. When I have the opportunity to dwell on something that affects me negatively, I instead start counting my blessings.
We all have something to be grateful for. By focusing on the positive, we'll be surprised at how quickly it will transform our day.
The next time we feel like we're surrounded by a cloud of negativity, let's take out the trash and be grateful for the good things that surround us. It will clear the way for a brighter tomorrow.
As most of you know I was away Friday and Saturday at the Collective Soul concert at House of Blues in Showboat Casino in Atlantic City. I found out on the way down to the show (thank you Living with Edward and Tongue Twied) that Twitarded was going to be doing their group watching of New Moon. I was devastated as I LOVED when we did the Twilight watching. It was so much fun and it was really interesting to hear other people's thoughts on different parts of the film. It was also amazing to know I was watching the movie with people all over the world! Technology is amazing!
Well, it turns out that from the opener until the end of Collective Soul's encore I was glad I was there and I wasn't missing the New Moon watching at all. It was an amazing concert.
Philadelphia based band Automatic Fire opened and they were awesome. The lead singer's voice was electric and they loved playing for the crowd. Their songs were a perfect compliment to Collective Soul's sound and they were great performers. They played for only 30 minutes and I certainly would not have minded them playing longer. They were that good. We did get to meet them during the intermission and they were very sweet guys. My hubby bought their shirt and got a free CD (5 songs) and they autographed the CD. We will definitely be checking them out again!
Then it was time for Collective Soul. We decided to stay down in the general admission for the opening so we could try and get some pictures and be closer to them. They opened with their new song "Welcome All Again" which is what I told my hubby they would open with, I like being right LOL.
The second song is one of my ultimate favorites, "Heavy" and the light show for that song was incredible. I taped a little part of it...
I admit I did not keep track of all the songs and even though Collective Soul is my ultimate favorite band of all time, I do not always recall all their song titles and album titles (shame on me) so I can not list all the songs they did. They did play "Shine", "Gel", "Tremble for my Beloved" (also taped a little part of), "She Said", "December" and ton's of others.
They played straight for 1.5 hours with just a short break to play a few parts of cover songs ("Enter Sandman" by Metallica, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and some others) to rest their voices. They sound as amazing as when I saw them over 10 years ago. They looked pretty good, too. Only downfall, Ed Roland, the lead singer wore a white shirt and at House of Blues the spotlights hate white shirts. So my pictures (and I took tons) did not come out well at all. Here are a few though.
I love the House of Blues as the sound is usually really good and you are pretty close no matter if you are general admission or seated upstairs. I always find the workers very nice and the patrons are usually pretty good too. There was all kinds of people at the show. In fact, I assumed the people in front of us were free ticket people from the casino as they were MUCH older than us and didn't seem to be the "rock music" type of people but it turns out they knew all the songs and took tons of pictures. No more guessing on my part about concert goers that is for sure. The crowd loved the show and Collective Soul loved the crowd. They thanked us many times for being there and for supporting them over the years. It was so sad when the show ended. They could have played all night and I would have stayed right there.
I highly recommend seeing both bands if you ever get the chance. They are worth the price of admission :)
Then we (well just me) played a few slot machines before bed at 2am! But I ended up down $10. The next morning we went back to a slot machine I really love. I have a thing for penguins and this machine is all penguins, all the time and it is sooo much fun. We played on it for quite a while with my money going up and down many times. Once I was even down to $5 and then I won the bonus and got back to $18 (started at $20). Then my hubby had to use the rest room and he says "Hope you do well while I am gone." He leaves and then... 17foreverLisa look away now.... suddenly a wh*le (spelled that way in case Lisa didn't look away) came crashing on the screen and the reels started spinning and the music was playing and when the reels stopped, I was winning and winning and winning!!! My hubby comes out of the rest room and goes "I hope that is your machine making all that noise.... oh my!!" I was already at $40 when he came back and then the wh*le showed up again and when all was said and done I had $89.55 in winnings!!!! WOO HOO!!! It was so exciting and it was so much fun. The lady next to us was so happy too and she wished she had picked my machine, which is funny because just before I was winning I was wishing I had her machine LOL!!
So after I counted out everything and I replaced the money from my pot, I was ahead by $50!! We actually did play some more on other machines - so we could get our $5 for parking back but I never went below my pot and I went home with $50 in winnings!! AND my hubby is willing to go back again :) Wins all around!!!!

Please note that I will not be around tonite or tomorrow for most of the day. I know you are all devastated LOL I am heading to Atlantic City with my hubby to see my favorite band of all time Collective Soul at the House of Blues at the Showboat Casino. It should be a great time! Hopefully we can win a little to pay for the trip :)
