yes this is what I doing on New Years Eve. I must love my hubby.
Doctor Who quote
"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and... bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant. And we definitely added to his pile of good things."

Day 8 Christmas 2014
The season of giving.
Mom, hubby and I were out Christmas shopping at the mall. We stopped in Gertrude Hawks for our annual Smidgen purchase. While heading into line a lovely older woman was telling her son how much she loved the white chocolate covered pretzels. Her son said they were too expensive and the woman told him she wouldn't buy a whole pound.
My mother was in front of her buying our items, when she turns back to me and asks, "She did say she loves the white chocolate pretzels right?" I confirm she did and my Mom then says, "I'm going to buy them for her."
Those who know me well know that I already started to tear up.
The timing was getting difficult as the workers were getting ready to ask the woman for her order and the girl was still filling the box with the pretzels. So as they turned to the woman, I politely stated "Can you please just wait one minute?" They looked at me in horror because they couldn't believe we were going to hold them up from a customer. I added "Trust me, you will understand."
Finally the worker finished the pretzel box, hands it to my mother and my mother turns to the woman and says "I would like to gift these to you." The woman was shocked and says "I didn't expect this."
By this point, I am in full tears and the workers are all besides themselves when they realize what happened. We thanked them profusely for helping us and understanding finally what we were trying to do. The one worker even said, "Then let's make this special and reached over to put a seal on the box."
The woman and my mother hugged and there was a few other people in tears then too.
As we walked out of the store my mother turns crying and says "I didn't get the chance to tell her I wanted to gift them to her because they were Dad's favorite. I was crying too much."
It was such an incredible display of the gift of giving and it was all because of my beautiful mother. To say I adore my mother would not even begin to cover how wonderful she is. Thank you Mom for teaching me the beauty of giving.
I love you
