Doctor Who quote

"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and... bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant. And we definitely added to his pile of good things."

Day of Delirium #306 - Favorite Present

BLOGGING PROMPT: My favorite present I’ve ever received…

Tickets to see Billy Joel when I was much, much younger.
My sister gave them to me for Christmas.
I remember opening the present and just crying.
It was going to be first concert with my favorite musician with my sister.
My aunts were so confused.
They had no idea who Billy Joel was or why I would be crying.

The concert was awesome and I will never forget it.

Day of Delirium #305 - What would you say?

BLOGGING PROMPT: If you wrote a letter to the President, what would it say?

I rarely post anything political, much less even discuss it in real life but I like this question and made me think…really hard :)

First and foremost I would say thank you for liking women. Meaning that he respects and supports that women exist and that we have a say in this world.

Then I would thank him for loving his wife and his two girls. He is a good father and husband and that to me influences how he acts as President and I think has helped him do the good things he has done.

I would lastly thank him for giving his time and effort to make our country better. That he tried things, that he thought outside the box at times, that he tried to work with everyone, and that he chose to put himself on the line in the highest post in our country. It is not a job I would ever want or be able to do. It takes a special human to even attempt this job regardless of outcomes.

I hope that anyone reading this realizes these are all my thoughts. I do not write this to start a discussion or an argument. I am actually a little afraid to click publish but I am going to take my chances. I'm sure my long term readers know me well enough :)

Day of Delirium #304 - Real life

BLOGGING PROMPT: We all try to put our best foot forward when we blog. What would your readers be surprised about if they met you in real life?

I think I will ask my reader's that have met me in real life to answer this question. I try to be who I am here and in real life but I am sure there are differences. And if the surprise is negative, I have no issue with that. In fact I welcome it as if it is something I should work on, then by all means let me know.

Day of Delirium #303 - A few of my favorite things

BLOGGING PROMPT: If you had to watch one movie or television show, or listen to one song for the rest of your life, what would it be….and why?

Movie - Notting Hill

Notting Hill makes me happy. It is funny, sweet, sad, crazy and I just adore the family dynamics of all the friends. A lovely story with beautiful people.

TV - Parenthood

Parenthood is just the most amazing TV show. The acting and actors are beyond compare. The stories are incredible and while I usually don't like such realistic stories, I love that these people are my family. They are my friends, people who live next door, people I work with, people that I will love until the end of time. It is a shame the show has ended but it will always be one of my favorites.

Song - Closer to Fine by the Indigo Girls or Shine by Collective Soul

Closer to Fine is perfection.

Shine is perfection.

Indigo Girls and Collective Soul are my favorite two types of music. I could not live without them in my life.
