Doctor Who quote

"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and... bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant. And we definitely added to his pile of good things."

Day of Delirium #222 - Giving Thanks

Today I saw this question somewhere: "Can you give thanks for 28 days?" And I thought, yes, yes I can give thanks for 28 days.

This means I will do a post a day for 28 days listing at least one thing I am thankful for in the post. I hope you'll read along and be able to make your own lists. Perhaps you can share with me in the comments each day your thoughts on the item I'm thankful for in the post. I am looking forward to this and I will start early with:

I am thankful I can read and I was able to read this question and start my quest for 28 days of thanks.

Day of Delirium #221 - Breast Awareness Month

I asked to borrow this post from a friend of mine, Krista McKeon, who runs Magick & Miracles. I was completely in agreement with her outlook and thoughts on Breast Awareness Month that I just had to share it with you all. I truly believe our thoughts can make a difference and I hope something here can help you think differently or better.

"Since October is Breast Wellness Awareness month (notice I didn't use the "C" word), I thought it appropriate to give you a little Metaphysical tip to help out.

  • What you focus on grows! Thus why I didn't use the "C" word. In the wise words of Mother Theresa, I will not participate in any "anti-war" function, but if you have a "pro-peace" one, I'll be there. So use your words and thoughts wisely. Only talk in forms of what you want and don't give your energy to anything unwanted.
  • What do Breasts represent? According to Louise Hay in her book Heal Your Body (1982:21) breasts represent "mothering, nurturing and nourishment." Therefore, breast problems are related to the "refusal to nourish the self. Putting everyone else first. (Overmothering, overprotection, overbearing attitudes)"
  • Change your thinking! Through the laws of quantum physics as represented in the Law of Attraction book:The Secret,  your thoughts create your reality. So change those old outdated ideas of negativity and create something new and better! Louise Hay suggests this affirmation "I take and give out nourishment in perfect balance." OR "I am important. I count. I now care for and nourish myself with love and with joy. I allow others the freedom to be who they are. We are all safe and free."
  • KNOW YOU ARE WORTHY! In case you weren't told this today, you are an amazing, brilliant, lovable creation of the Divine and you are deserving of health, wealth and joy!"
I just love every point that is made here. I was especially hit by #2, "refusal to nourish the self." I think I have been much better to myself in the past few years and I am so much happier for it. Always remember that you can not give fully to others until you give fully to yourself. It is not selfish at all, in fact it is probably the most you could ever give anyone.

Krista also wrote more when I asked permission to use her post and I would like to share these thoughts:

"Spread the word, and maybe we can actually make a difference in the occurrence of it. I think we are putting too much attention on the thing itself and not what is actually wanted, which is health and wellness. Everything I've learned about quantum physics/Law of Attraction tells us not to push against the things that is NOT wanted, but to turn and embrace those things that are wanted instead. A HUGE difference in energy output."

So in closing, be sure to turn and embrace health, wellness and love and know you are worthy of all three.
