Doctor Who quote

"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and... bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant. And we definitely added to his pile of good things."

Day of Delirium #101 - Comic Con 2011

Yes the title reads 2011. I have been feeling held back lately and not able to get things done. So I wondered what could be up. I think that since I haven't followed through on a very long to do list that I just can't move on until I clear up some things on this list. On the list are numerous blog posts I have not done. So here we go...

First up, as we wait to hear about our 2012 hotel lottery outcomes, is Comic Con 2011. Hubby, Mocha and I went and we had a fabulous time. San Diego is gorgeous and Comic Con for all its lines and crazy people is a great experience. I will mainly post pictures which hopefully none of you will mind.

Enjoy!
Hubby and I on the plane to Comic Con 2011

Super Mocha arrives at San Diego airport

TwiLoveSue and 17ForeverLisa - two of my favorites :)
This was from them waiting in line for the Breaking Dawn Part 1 panel...

Pictures from the panel. I was too far away for my camera to get pics of them at the table - so my pics are of the screen. Note: I have a better camera for this year :)

 Bill Condon - director
Taylor Lautner, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson

 Ashley Greene
 Nikki Reed
 Elizabeth Reaser
 Julia Jones
It was a great panel and they all seemed to love talking about the movie. It was fun to see the clip and be in a room full of people who love the Twilight Saga as much as I do - if not more in some cases. I can't wait for this year's panel.

My fan girl moment!! R2D2

Mocha's fan monkey moment - Timmy from ThinkGeek

Family fan moment - SNOOPY!!!!

Mocha being eaten by a childhood memory - H.R. Pufnstuf

and in the hand of a childhood hero -  Marty Kroft

Dr. Jayne Who Mocha waiting to buy Comic Con 2012 tickets

Speaking of Dr. Who!! Matt Smith, current Dr. Who outside the diner we were eating at!

Speaking of Firefly!! Nathan Fillion, currently of Castle outside the same diner!!

Short story about the diner pictures - hubby and I were at odds with picking a place to eat - with our food allergies it is not easy to pick places from what they look like. We were almost back to our hotel when we walked past the SyFy diner and I chose there. We ate outside at the only table open and thank goodness because we saw these two people above (two of our ultimate favorites) and many more. So in the end it was the best argument hubby and I ever had that ended in the best way ever.

TwiLoveSue and MissTejota - I adore these women.

Some other panels we saw...

 The Raven - John Cusak
 The Raven - Luke Evans

Falling Skies - one of our favorite shows on TV with one of my favorite actors.
Noah Wylie and Mood Bloodgood - one of our favorite panels too. Excellent cast and great interaction amongst them and the audience. Great show. I recommend it. We also got the best gift from this panel.

Waiting in line for Batman Year One - hubby's choice but the panel was awesome!
Ben McKenzie (the OC), Katee Sackhoff (BSG) and Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad)!
Was hoping for Eliza Dushku too but she couldn't make it.

Once Upon a Time - Ginnifer Goodwin
The reason for this picture is Ginnifer is one of hubby's favorites. During the morning walk to the Con we walked past a lovely woman in a yellow dress right on the walkway with us. We definitely noticed her but nothing rang a bell. As I stood waiting for people to be interviewed on this stage, I see the yellow dress and realize - WE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN HER! Such a bummer as hubby could have easily walked up to her for a picture or autograph that morning.
Bonus: Once Upon a Time is current favorite TV show of ours.
Rose McGowan

Another favorite of ours... The Vampire Diaries....

Sorry for the out of focus pictures but I couldn't resist posting these. It was such a fun moment and the cast really enjoyed the panel, as did the audience.

No words. Sir Patrick Stewart for Dorothy of Oz. He was a joy. Truly felt I was in the presence of royalty. Amazing man.

PACEY!!! ok he isn't Pacey anymore, Joshua Jackson is now on Fringe.

Marian Call - a singer songwriter who is a Firefly Browncoat and a certified Girl Geek. She is amazing and I highly recommend checking out her music. Hubby was the fan first but once I met her and heard her music, she is now a favorite of mine too. Can't wait to see her again soon I hope.

The sun sets on our last night at Comic Con 2011.

We had a phenomenal time and there are a million more stories I could share but I am probably out of space. I hope this year is as amazing as the last and I hope to see more of you there.

Minus the Dr. Who guy, PufnStuf, and that TwiLoveSue chick, I would have been right there with you fangirling! Esp over Cusack!

What fantastic luck with not only your restaurant choice but where you guys sat!

So is Ben McK from the OC in an upcoming Batman movie?

So glad that you guys went and were able to get SO much out of it!

I'm right there with you with having posts started but not finished. :) One step at a time..This was worth the wait! Thanks (as always) for sharing.

@TongueTwied - Ben was in the animated movie Batman Year One. The date on the internet is 2011 for the movie and I have no idea of how or if it was released.

@misstejota - I am very excited for this year but more to see you :)

Marty Kroft?!? I loved all of the Sid and Marty Kroft shows. I even got my 11 year old son hooked on H.R. Pufnstuff :)

@TK - Nathan Fillion is our ultimate goal for meeting and getting an autograph and/or photo with. And the bigger bonus would be if he would do a pic with Mocha - one of his biggest fans :)

@Cul-de-sac-ed I actually teared up seeing Marty standing there. I couldn't believe someone so famous was just standing at his booth to meet people. It was quite the moment.

Well I may have missed you then, but luckily got to see you at the BD Convention :) I didn't get fix again this year, but not because I didn't try. So looking forward to seeing you. Oh and lots more Gaslamp restaurants are getting hip to the gluten free thing. We'll have to talk before you come out here.
