Doctor Who quote

"The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and... bad things. The good things don't always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don't necessarily spoil the good things or make them unimportant. And we definitely added to his pile of good things."

Day of Delirium #47 - Your Future is in Your Mouth

I have again received a very timely Keith Harrell newsletter that I really want to share with all of you. I firmly believe in this topic and work very hard to follow the advice given below. Please be aware that I did not write this and if you would like more information on Keith Harrell please check out his website.

I am awesome. I am gorgeous. I am loved.

Your Future Is in Your Mouth

Many of us are familiar with the childhood taunt, "Stick and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me." Although it was a great way to act as though the unkind words that were said to us didn't matter, the truth of the matter is that words do hurt.

What hurts more than what other people say are the words you say about yourself. Negative words may have been spoken over you all of your life. But you don't have to become what other people say. You can rise above any unkind words that were said about you or to you.

You may not realize it, but you are where you are today because of the words you have spoken about yourself. This is so because your future is in your mouth. Your future is not in what other people say about you.

So the key to changing your circumstances and your life is to change what you're saying.

Take a good look at your life and compare it to the words that are coming out of your mouth. Are you saying things like, "I'll be the first one in my company to get laid off." "I'll never find a job in an economy like this." "Everyone in my family died of cancer. It's only a matter of time before I'm diagnosed with it."

Are you starting to see the connection?

The more you say something, the more you believe what you are saying. Expectation goes hand-in-hand with what you believe, and it won't be long before you see what you are expecting.

Unfortunately, many people have fine-tuned the art of negativity. And their negative prophecies are quickly fulfilled. But your words can change your life for the better.

You can start by saying things like: "I'll never go under because I'll conquer every challenge I face." "I'll beat cancer." "I'll always find a way to pay the mortgage."

Words are containers. So why not fill them with a bright future instead of a mediocre existence. The choice is up to you. Remember, your future is in your mouth.

Have a Super Fantastic Week!

Ooooo I can tie this to the IRWTSMN diet that Trixie and Tess are running. My goal is to say "I look great" every day I wake up and see myself in the mirror.

This is something I very much believe in, which I think you know. It is amazing how we can speak things and believe things into excitance. It's the only reason I'm going to FOOOORRRKKS.

And you can totally lose weight with it to. I lost 30 pounds by doing nothing but confessing it. It was amazing.

I hope you all really try this, because what the mind hears and believes, that is what it makes true and it can apply to any aspect of your life. Recently I have been saying out loud to myself that I have an unlimited supply of resourses and I have been having a lot more money in the bank at the end of the month now and I can't calculate why. It is all because of what I believe.

So get creative and make the changes you want, because you can.

I'll get off my soap box now. Love you all and I'll see you next week. SQUEEEEEE!!

Wow, love it. Have you ever read The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho? I think you'd really like it. Oooh and Think and Grow Rich by Napolean Hill.

Right now my thoughts are...I WILL be a published author, I WILL be a published author...I WILL be a published author... And I will just keep saying it.

Thanks for the reminder.

@inotu: Change that to "I AM a published author." Futuristic minded goals tend to stay in the future.

I love this! I think our words are very powerful. It's imperative that we speak the things we want and not speak the things we don't want.

Great little tie-in w/ IRWTSMN! :)

Rob will see me naked...Rob will see me naked. :P

I read this earlier today. I think I got a little distracted by Rob's mouth.

I think doing this is harder than granting forgiveness. I really think this is one of the toughest things to do because we have all seen people get derailed in life in ways that all the positive self-talk in the world couldn't have prevented. It is really hard if you are a worrier, too. Red ribbon method...errr, I see how this is all inter-related isn't it?

I love the advice you get from this website. I'm going to check it out right now.
I've been trying to implement this even before I read The Secret - which basically says the same thing.

Therefore, I say: I am pregnant. :D

"I am beautiful just the way I am, but I can lose weight for my health."

"I will see a book I've written in hardcover on shelf in a book store some day."

I think that positivity can go a long way in encouraging others as well. :) You are always inspiring, DD. (((HUGS)))
