First up was the Community panel. Never watched the show but really enjoyed the panel.
And bonus for us was that Legend of Korra was next - a show hubby and I both really enjoy.
I had no idea what David Faustino was the voice of the main character so that was fun to find out.
We were also entertained by getting to hear/see how they do a voice run through with scenes that are being created. We also got to see the character boards for the different people in the show. A very perfect Comic Con panel.
Then it was time...
There are no words to describe how happy this panel made me.
It was funny, moving, informative, intelligent, hilarious and tear inducing.
The amount of love in the room was overwhelming and knowing we were all there out of pure love for a TV show/movie was just all the more amazing.
I believe the cast and crew were just as moved as we were and the applause we gave was some of the loudest I have ever heard in my life.
We love our Firefly/Serenity and we are forever grateful for his time to celebrate it.
Then it was off to our other love...
Falling Skies
I usually do not like end of the world stories but Noah Wylie is the main character and I adore him. So I started to watch and now I am addicted. Truly, I can not tell you what it is about this show but I love it. Each character is amazing and I do love that they hold no punches with killing off popular and loved characters. You just never know what will happen and it is quite refreshing to me.
And having Wil Wheaton as the moderator was just perfect.
Last year this panel gave away hoodies as their swag gift, this year we got awesome Second Mass bracelets! I love this show!!
Then we finished off the day with tickets to the Nerdist Podcast with special guest John Barrowman.
I like John Barrowman but he can be a little too off color for me, as can the Nerdist podcast guys but we regretted not going last year so we made sure to get tickets this year.
Well it was still very off color but we did learn some interesting things about John Barrowman and he definitely loves what he does.
He ALWAYS does this. At least it was Batman, my hubby's favorite. LOL
The hilarious story of the evening was about our seats. We spent a lot of time trying to get seats up front but it would never take our information, so we ended up a bit further back. Well as we sat there I could tell the people for the outside two seats were coming in to sit. All I heard then was "Oh my God." I look up and it was an old friend of mine from home that I haven't seen or talked to in many many years. I couldn't even believe it! What is the likelihood that we end up sitting there and so does she. It was nice to see her and catch up. It definitely was the story of the evening... until the Batman undies of course. LOL!!
