The first year of Comic Con we met in town and had dinner. Last year we spent most of the Monday after together. This year ... we spent two nights at her house. What a glorious time. Her children are so much fun and their dog is just a live bug. I am so grateful we had this time together.
Every time my hubby says we might not do Comic Con next year I get sad because I don't think I want to stop the annual visit to my friend.
I am forever grateful that she still thought about me and even told her children all about our friendship. To the point that her daughter said once "I hope I can have a friend like Sharon in my life." Truly one of the sweetest things ever.
I hope you all have at least one long term friend because it is pretty special. Knowing someone for most of your life, who isn't family, is pretty amazing.
